Carl Emery, Chief Executive Officer:

With a successful background impacting productivity, profitability and competitive performance across a variety of products, Carl has established himself as a key contributor to the retail and operational success of each past employer. He has extensive experience increasing sales processes, leading turnaround initiatives and consistently improving metrics across the operation.

His roles in the past ranged from Store Manager to District Manager to Owner/Marketing & Sales Manager. A sample of his accomplishments while serving in the above and additional positions includes:

• Increasing district sales from $8 to $19 million annually in 3 years by focusing on teamwork.
• Turning around combative atmosphere in the Las Vegas market, creating a high-functioning team through weekly meetings and various team-building activities.
• Quickly growing sales to become the largest franchise location in less than one year, growing from startup with zero revenue to break even in the same time frame.

Maia Emery, Chief Academic Officer:

Maia Emery brings exceptional knowledge and organization to the mix. She has received a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Geneseo & is a Middle School Teacher having received her Middle School Math Certification from Western Governors' University. Maia is the current Director of Learning for Math Monkey and writes, reviews and approves all curriculum in use by Math Monkeytm Franchisees around the country and in Mexico. In addition Maia is currently the Owner/Director for Math Monkey of Henderson, NV, and has been instrumental to the growth of this, the Math Monkey Flagship location.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented and thorough; exceptional ability to follow projects through to completion.

Ken Williams, Chief Academic Advisor:

As our Chief Academic Advisor, Ken brings a world of experience to Math Monkey. As an educator in the U.K. and the conductor of over 100 workshops and presentations on Vedic math in London, Oxford and Cambridge, Ken boasts a multitude of experience in the field of mathematics education.

Ken has been studying Vedic math since 1971 and has dedicated his academic career to researching and further developing Vedic math. As the author of several books on the topic of Vedic math, Ken is widely regarded as a guru on this subject. In 2000, he created the correspondence course that is the basis for the Math Monkey curriculum.

Ken’s credentials include:

• University of London-University College London honors graduate
• Guest lecturer at over 100 engagements and presentations on the topic of Vedic math, including symposiums at London, Oxford and Cambridge Universities
• 35 years of experience as a teacher serving several sixth form and post-secondary institutes within the U.K.
